This Indenture made the Seventh Day of December Seventeen hundred and Ninty Seven Between Aben Berry of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of one part and Elizabeth Kelly Rachel Kelly Jesse Miles & Hessy Miles his wife of the other part Witnesseth that in and for the consideration of three Pounds Current Money of the state of Viginia to them in hand at or before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the receipt whereof the said Elizabeth Kelly Rachel Kelly Jesse Miles & Hessy Miles his wife do hereby acknowledge hath Bargained and doth hereby Bargain and Sell unto the afsd Aben Berry his heirs a assigns for ever one Acres and one half of Land be the same more or less with the appurtenances thereunto belonging Lying and being in the County and Parish of Accomack in the State of Virginia it part of the Tract of Land belong to Joseph Kelly Decd Joining the afsd Aben Berrys Land and with the said Land of John Rileys and with said Rileys to a line of marked Trees to the afsd Berrys Land to have and to hold the said one Acre and half of Land with the appurtenances to the said Aben Berry his hiers and Assigns forever and no other use or uses whatsoever and the said Eliza Kelly Rachel Kelly Jesse Miles & Hessey Miles his wife Doth further Covenant Grant and agree to and with the afsd Abin Berry and his heirs and assigns forever and that the afsd Lands are free and Clear of all and all manner of incumberances and the said Eliza Kelly Rachel Kelly Jesse Miles & Hessey Miles his wife doth for themselves and their Heirs Covenant and agree to and with the said Aben Berry his Heirs and assigns that the afsd Parties will warrant and forever Defend the Land with the appurtenances therunto and the Reversion against any Person or Persons Claiming any Right will Warrent and forever Defend in testimony whereof we have set our hands and affixed our Seals the Day & Year first above Written
