Indenture made the 16th of Octr Eight hundred between John Martin &
Nancy his wife of the County of Accomack in the parish afsd in the
State of Virginia of the one part & Benjamin Marshall Senr of the
other part Witnesseth that the sd John Martin for & in
consideration of the sum of Twenty Pounds Currant Money afsd to him in
hand paid by the Benjamin Marshall before the ensealing & delivery
of these presents the Receipt whereof I the sd John Martin doth hereby
acknowledge & myself fully satisfied contented & paid thereof
& from every part & parcel thereof, Doth aquit Exonorate &
discharge the said Benjamin Marshall his Heirs Executors &
administrators firmly by these presents hat given granted Bargained
Sold alined confirmed Enfeoffed conveyed & delivered & by these
presents dothe give bargain Sell Alienated enfeoffed conveyed confirmed
& Delivd unto him the said Benjamin Marshall his Heirs &
assigns for Ever a tract of Land on St. George Island or Sexes in the
County & State afsd near the mouth of Pocomoke River bounded as
follows Viz, Beginning at a Marked pine standing near the Marsh
dividing the same from the lands of Abraham Marshall Running North
sixty two Degrees West Eighty eight Poles to a line formerly of Stephin
Marshall & heirs to the River Side thence South twenty six degrees
West seven poles thence South thirty six two degrees west forty tow
& a half Poles thence South two degrees East fifty Poles thence
North thirty two degrees & thirty minutes East fourteen Poles
thence north eleven degrees East twenty Poles thence with a right line
to the first lying namely a marked Pine containing thirty acres be the
same more or less & all singular the Houses fencing Woods &
Marsh to the Same appertaining or in any wise belonging & also the
Reversion Rights & Estates Interest benefit Claim & Demand
whatever of him the sd John Martin & Nancy his wife of in & to
& Singular the sd Premises & of in & all Yearly Rents
Profits Revers uppon any demise or lease of the said Premisses or any
part thereof To Have and to hold the land above mentioned with the
apurtenances unto the sd Benjamin Marshall & his Hiers &
Assigns forever We the sd John Martin & Nancy his wife their Heirs
Executors & Admrs the land before mentioned with the appurtenances
unto him the sd Benjamin Marshall His Heirs & assigns against him
the John Martin & Nancy his wife and his Heirs Claiming any right
title Profit or Interest to the sd land before mentioned or any part
thereof Will warrant & forever defend Claiming any part or parcel
Thereof at my own proper cost & charge. In Testamony hereof we have
hereunto set our hands and Seals & Day & Date above Written
