This Inedenture made this nineteenth date of November Anno Dom: MDCCXXXIX Between George Parker of Accomack in the Colony of Virginia Gent: of the one part and Joshua Sturgiss of Somerset County in the provence of maryland of the other part Wittesseth that whereas George Parker Grandfather of the said George Parker by patent bearing date the fourth day of November Anno Dom: Seventeen hundred and six had granted unto him a tract or parcel of Land Called Wickenoughs Neck Containing six hundred acres of Land be the same mmore or less by such bounds and courses as in the patent mentioned which said tract of Land wa by the said George Parker the Grandfather devised to the said devisors two sons Richard Parker and Bennet Parker in fee or fee tail laid equally to be divided and the said Bennet Parker is since dead intestate and without issue by means whereof the said first named George Parker being oldest son and heir at Law to his father George deceased who was also the oldest son and heir at Law to the said George Parker to whom the grant of the said six hundred Acres of Land Called Wickenoughs neck was so as afsd by patent made became intitled to the one moiety of the said six hundred Acres of Land and Accordingly entered into and was and still is siezed thereof in fee. Now this Indenture Wittnesseth that the said George Parker first named for and in Consideration of fifty pounds Currt: money of Virga by the said Joshua Sturgis to the said George in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof ther receipt whereof the said George whereby oath doth Acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and the said Joshua Sturgis his heirs Exrs & Adms have given granted bargained and sold and doth hereby give grant bargain and sell to the said Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever the one moiety or half of the said six hundred acres of Land Called Wickenoughs Neck To have and to hold the said Moiety with all and Singular the appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of the said Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever and no other uses or uses whatsoever and the said George Parker for himself his heirs exrs and Administrators doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever that he the said George at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof is seized of the above above demised premises in fee and that he hat good right and full power and authority to Convey the same to the said Joshua Sturgiss his heris and asigns for ever in manner and form afsd and that the above bargained premises free and Clear of all and Imcumberances whatsoever other that the yearly Rents and profitts which from hence forth shall by means thereof grow due and payable to the Chief Lord of the fee he the said George to the said Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever will forever warrant and defend by these presents In Testimony whereof the parties afsd have to these presents Interchangeably affixed their hands and seals the day and year first above written

Memorandum that on the nineteenth day of March Anno Dom: Seventeen hundred firty nine before us the Subscribers his Lordships Justice of the peace for Somerset County the within Grantor George Parker acknowledged the within demised Land and appurtenances to be the right and title of the within Joshua Sturgiss his heirs and assigns for ever According to the form of the act of assembly in that case lately made and provided

March the nineteenth day Anno Dom: one thousand seven hundred and thirty nine was delivered unto the subscriber the within written deed in order to be enrolled amongst the Records of Somerset County which said deed together with the acknowledgment thereof thereon endorsed were accordingly Recorded amongst the said Records in Lib: MF:NO Y fol:130 on the twenty fifth day of the same month Anno Dom: one thousand seven hundred and forty
