This Indenture made this third day of September in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and ninety five Between Johannes Wise of the County of Northampton in the State of Virginia of the one part and David Drummond of the County of Accomack in the State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Johannes Wise for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty eight pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said David Drummond the receipt whereof he the said Johannes doth hereby acknowledge Have grant Bargain, and sell unto the said David Drummond his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the said County of Accomack and parish of Saint George, which which descended unto the said Johannes Wise by the death of his Father Thomas Wise, and bounded as follows by the land of Levin White on the South East, by the lands of John Stephens decd on the North East containing by estimation seventy four acres be the same more or less together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said David Drummond His hiers and assigns for ever to their only proper use benefite and behoof and to and for mo other use intent or purpose whatever. And the said Johannes Wise doth for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators, covenant and agree to and with the said David Drummond his heirs or assigns the premisses aforesaid with the appurtenances against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons what ever claiming the same will warrant and for ever defend to him the said David Drummond his heirs and assigns for ever In Testimony whereof the said Johannes Wise doth hereunto set his hand and Seal this day and year above written
