This Deed made the 14th day of December Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred
and Ninety Eight Between James Ailworth and Susanna Willett of Accomack county and
state of Virginia of the one part and James Vessells Sr. of the same place of the
other part. Witnesseth that the said James Ailworth and Susanna Willett for and in
consideration of the sum of Sixty five pounds current money of the state aforesaid
in Specie to them in hand paid by the said James Vessels Senr. the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowleged hath given granted bargained and sold and Do by these presents
give grant Sell and Confirm unto the said James Vessels Sr. his heirs and assigne
forever that tract and parcel of land and marsh late the property of James Ailworth
decd containing fifty Seven Acres more or less Situate lying and being in the Parish
of Accomack and county aforesaid Between Guilford and back Creek and bounded as follows
(to wit) on the S. E. by the lands of Ephraim Vessels Junr late of Wm. Young on the
S. W. by the lands of Edwd Kilman on the N. W. by broken marshes and on the N. E.
by the lands late of John Taylor To have and to hold the said fifty Seven acres of
land and marsh more or less together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to
him the said James Vessells Sr. his heirs and assigns forever and to or for no other
use Intent or purpose whatever and the said James Ailworth and Susanna Willett doth
covenant that they have a good and clear Estate in fee Simple to the said fifty Seven
acres of land and marsh and that they will for themselves and their Heirs, Executors
& Administrators Warrent and Defend the same lands and marsh to the said James Vessels
Senr. against the lawful claim title or Interest of all persons. In Witness whereof
the parties to these presents have set their hands and Seals the day and year first
above written
