To all who these presents Shall come I Sr Francis Wiat Knight Governor & Capt General of Virginia send greetings in our Lord God Everlasting Whereas &c Now know yt I ye Sr Francis Wiat Do with the consent of ye Council of State accordingly give and grant unto Garret Anderson four hundred acres of Land Situate and lying being in the County of Accomack at Nussawattocks Creek beginning at the Estermost Side of yhe Land belonging to Levin Denwood thence Extending Easterly alongst a Branch of ye sd Nusawattocks Creek and running Southerly into the Woods the sd four hundred Acres being due unto him ye said Garret Anderson by & for the transportation at his own proper Cost & Charge eight servants into all of whose names are mentioned in the Record mentioned under this Pattent to Have and to hold under my name &c Given at James City under my hand and Sealed with the Seal of the Colony ye 10th of July 1640 and in the sixteenth of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles King over England &c

These presents to Witnesseth that I Amy Waddelow Widow & Relict of Nicholas Waddelow deceased do acknowedge yt my deaceased husband in his life Time had bargained & sold unto John HInman all his Rights & Title of this within Specified pattent & do acknowledge to have Recieved one mare colt and five ewes in full satisfaction for ye said pattent & I ye above said Amy do acknowledge yt ye Land was Sold unto John Hinman & his heirs assigns for Ever as witness my hand this 29th of September 1660 qhixh Sale I do Ratifie & Confirm
