This Indenture made this thirteenth day of June in ye second yeare of the Reign of our souveraign Lord George of Great Britain France & Ireland King defender of the Faith &c. & in ye year of our Lord god one thousand seven hundred & sixteen Between John White of somerset county in ye provence of Maryland , Carpenter and Hannah his wife of ye one part & in ye same County & Provence, Planter, of the other part. Wittnesseth that whereas Charles Absolute Lord & proprietary of the Provence of Maryland for Granting land there bearing date at ye Citty of St. Maryes the 12rh day of May anno Domi 1679 did for ye consideration there in in Mentioned Grant unto Cornelious Morris a parcell of Land called Manloves Lott Lying & Being ye Eastern shore on ye North side of Pocomoke River bounded as followeth

Begining at a marked red Oake standing on ye south side of a patch of March pungoteague Fields by ye aforesd River Thence with a line Drawn South East by South one hundred & twenty perches down ye River for Breath to a marked Spanish Oake standing in a high Bank Thence with a line Drawn West for a length in to ye woods five hundred thirty three perches & a half perch Thence witha line Drawn North West by North one hundred twenty five perches thence with a line Drawn South Eighty five degrees Easterly three hundred twnety five perches Thence with a line Drawn south Eighty five Degrees Easterly three hindred seventy six perches & from Thence with a right line ye first bounder containing three hundred acres more or less Together with all rights profitts Benefits thereunto belonging (Royall mines Excepted) To have and to hold the same unto him ye said Cornelious Morris his heirs & Assignes for Eve for & under the Rents Covenants Limitations & Exceptions as in & by the saifrecited deed of Grant recourse being there unto Had more fully & more at Large it may and doth appear and Whereas the said Corneloius Morris & Ann his wife did Alienat Convey make over by a certain deed indent under their hands & seales bearing date ye first day of February ano Domi 1680 Recorded in Libre MA a folio 450 died as afored confirm All ye bounds sd three hundred acres of Land & Premisses [-----] to Josias Seward of Somerset County aforesd Gent. And to his heirs & Assignes for Ever by wch device ye said Josias Seaward and became possessed of an Estate in fee simple in ye above sd Three hundred acres of Land & premisses called Manloves Lott to him & his heirs & assignes forever & whereas Josias Seward & Margarett his wife by a certain deed under thier hands & seals bearing date ye 22nd day of February Ano Domi 1688 recorded in Libra MA folio 838 for ye consideration of five thousand punds of tobo to them in hand paid did Convey make over & confirm one hundred acres called Manloves Lott to Archibald White Weaver, late of Somerset County deceased with all its rights profitts remitts priviledges and apurtenances there unto belonging or in anyways appertaining To have and to hold the same to him the said Archibald White Weaver and to his heirs & assignes for Ever whereby the said Archibald White became possessed of an Estate in fee simple in ye said Land & premisses to him & his heirs & assignes for Ever whereby the said Archibald White became possessed of an Estate in fee simple in ye said one hundred and Eighteen acres of Land beign bounded as followeth

Begining at a marked Gum standing upon ye West side of a Cypress swamp pt goeth about Pungoteague fields Dividing it from a Cerain Tract of Land Conveyed from ye said Josia Seward to Md Wm Traile called Killeagh thence runing along ye side of the said Cypress swamp as followeth Viz: North thirty tree degrees Westerly twenty three perches to a Gum thence runing West four degrees Southerly twenty eigth perches to a marked read Oake thence runing west thirty degrees Northerly twenty eight perches thence runing North thirteen degrees Westerly twenty perches to a Marked pine Thence runing North forty degrees Westerly to a marked pine thence runing North eight perches & three fourths of a perch to a small marked Hickory thence runing West one hundred and seventy six perches thence ruing South East by South Eighty four perches thence with a straight line Drawn to ye first Bounder containing one hundred & eighteen Acres Now Called Tully Briske and the said Archabald White Weaver being there of being there of so seized did in his life Will & Testamt in Writing under his hand & seale give & bequeath unto his Well beloved sonn John White above named Carpenter all ye afsd one hundred and Eighteen acres of Land called Tully Briske by virtue of wch Device ye sd John White became seized of an Estate of Intent and in the above sd Land & Premisses called Tully Briske containing one hundred and eighteen acres.

Now this Indenture further Wittnesseth that whereas ye said John White and Hannah his wife for Diverse goods causes & valuable Consideration then there unto moving but more especially for ye sum of three thousand pounds of Tobo to them in hand paid before ye ensealing & Delivery here of by ye above said Archabald White planter first mentioned where of they ye sd John White & Hannah his wife do hereby acknowledge themselves to be fully Contented satisfied and paid and have for ye same given granted bargained & sold a Alienated Enfeoffed Conveyed Confirmed and delivered and do by these presents give Grant Bargain sell Alienate Enfeoff convey confirm & deliver unto him the said Archabald White planter and to his heirs & assignes for ever all ye above one hundred & eighteen acres of Land called Tully Briske taken out of the above said three hindred acres of Land called Manloves Lott as aforesd To have & to hold ye same unto him the sd Archabald White and to his heirs and assignes forever without any Mortgage redemption use or limitation to recallable changes or determine ye same with all its rights ye same with all its rights profits & benefitts and priviledges (Royall Mines Excepted) with all its Writtings pattents Indentsures or appurtenances there unto belonging or Any ways appertaining there unto free & Clear freely & Clearly acquitted Exones sd and discharged of and from all & all manner or of former & other bargains Grants sales forfitures & Joyntures Dowers & surrenders and of any from all other Title Incumberances claimes & demands whatsoever so that he ye sd Archabald White & his hiers & assignes shall & may from hence forward & for ever have hold occupy possess & injoye the same peaceably & quietly from ye said John White & Hannah his wife & their heirs forever as they will for ever warrant & defend by these present and they said John White & Hannah his wife do further promise & grant & for themselves and their heirs that they shall & will from time to time at all times to him & at all times after for & during ye term or time of severn years Now next ensusing ye date of at & upon the reasonable regn of Cost and Charges in ye law ye sd Archabald White or his heirs or assigns or his or there concill [-----] in ye Law make do acknowledge execute & perform or cause to be made [-----] acknowledgeed Executed & performed all or any other Instruments in writting by conveyance or otherwise thought Necessary for ye better assuring confirming & conveying the sd one hundred eighteen acres of Land & premise called Tully Briske to him ye sd Archabald White and to his heirs & Assignes for ever and in confirmation & full assurance of the true above written ye above sd John White & Hannah his wife have to this present Indenture sett to their hands and seales with full & peaceable possession by way of Livery and seizen of in and to ye sd day & Yeare first above Written.

Memorandum That this day (Viz:) the ninteenth day of June in ye second yeare of the Reign of sd soveraingne Lord George of Great Britian, France & Ireland, King Defender of the faith &c. Anno Domi one thousand seven hundred & fifteen Before us ye subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Somerset County came John white White & Hannah his wife in the their names [-----] to ye within Written Indenture in the proper performance and did acknowledge the within recited one hundred eighteen acres of Land and premisses called Tully Briske to be ye right of him ye sd Archabald White the within nominated planter and his heirs & assignes for Ever according to form and Manor of a certain Act of Assembly in this Case made & provided for [-----] Coneyance &c and for this acknowledgement omitt claim & agreement ye sd [-----] [-----] them ye said John White & Hannah his wife three thousand pounds of Tobo.
