Deed from James Moore to William Justice 26 March 1797 - Transcribed by Gail M. Walczyk

This indenture made this twenty Seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and Seven hundred and ninety seven Between James Moore son of Robert Moore decd of the one part and William Justice Son of Ralph Justice decd both of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said James Moore for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ten pounds current money of Virginia to him the said James doth hereby acknowledge and wholly discharge the said William there from Have granted bargained and sol aliened and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell alien and confirm unto him the said William Justice his heirs and assigns a certain tract of land which desinded to him the said James Moore by the death of his Grand Mother Elizabeth Moore and bounded as follows to wit. by the lands of Ishmeal Perry on the north and West, by the lands belonging to the heirs of Samuel Saunders decd on the North amd East, by the lands of William Bishops heirs on the South and West, and by the lands of Richard Justice's heirs on the West, containing one hundred acres together with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said William Justice his heirs and assigns forever. to the only proper use and behoof of him the said William Justice his heirs and assigns and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever, by the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said William Justice his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James Moore for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators do hereby covenant & agree to and with the said William Justice his heirs and assigns the premises aforesaid together with the appurtenances thereto belonging against the claim or claims of himself his heirs and all other persons whatsoever will warrant and for ever defend. In Testimony whereof I the said James Moore doth hereunto set my hand and affix my Seal the day and year above written
