This Indenture made the
10th Day of February Anno domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninty Eight between
George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife, Richd Hickman, and Nancy his
wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife, Steven Hickman and Esther his wife and
Robert Hickman of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of the one part and
Henry Hickman of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said George
Hickman, Thomas Hickman, Lucretia his wife, Richd Hickman, and Nancy his wife Dennis
Hickman and Bridget his wife, Steven Hickman and Esther his wife and Robert Hickman
for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money of the State
aforesd in Specie in hand paid by the said Henry Hickman the receipt whereof is hereby
Acknowledged, hath given bargained and Sold and Do by these presents give, grant
bargain sell and Confirm unto the said Henry Hickman his heirs and assigns forever
Fifteen Acres and three quarters of an acre of land more or less which lands were
late the property of Edwd Hickman decd and Bounded as follows (to wit) on the S.
W. by the lands of Thomas Hickman, on the N. W. by the lands of George Warner on
the N. E. by the lands of the Heirs of Henry Wright decd, and on the S. E. by the
lands of Dennis Hickman To have and to hold the said Fifteen and three quarters of
an acre of land together with the inprovements thereon and all priviledges and appurtenances
forever and to or for no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever and the said George
Hickman, Thomas Hickman, Lucretia his wife, Richd Hickman, and Nancy his wife Dennis
Hickman and Bridget his wife, Steven Hickman and Esther his wife and Robt Hickman,
doth hereby for themselves their Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenent and
agree to and with the said Henry Hickman his heirs and assigns forever Shall and
my peacibly and Quietly occupy possess and enjoy the said Fifteen Acres and three
quarters of an Acre of Land free from all claims and Demands of all persons Claiming
from by or under them the said George Hickman, Thomas Hickman, Lucretia his wife,
Richd Hickman, and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife, Steven Hickman
and Esther his wife and Robert Hickman, will warrent and forever Defend In Testimony
whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands and affixed their Seals
the day and year first mentioned

This deed from George Hickman, Thomas Hickman, Lucretia his wife,
Richd Hickman, and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman, Robert Hickman, Steven Hickman
and Esther his wife to Henry Hickman was proved by the Oaths of Parker Barnes, William
Wise, & Arthur White Witnesses thereto and was acknowledged by the said Lucretia
Nancy & Esther as their act and deed they being first privily examined as the Law
Directs did Voluntarily Consent thereto and ordered to be recorded
