This Indenture made the 10th Day of February Anno Domini Seven Hundred and Ninty Eight between George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Richd Hickman and Nancy his wife, Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife, of the County of Accomack and State of Virginia of the one part and Steven Hickman and Robert Hickman of the same place of the Other part Witnesseth that the said George Hickman, Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Richd Hickman and Nancy his wife, Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife for and of the sum of Five shillings current money of Virginia in Specie in hand paid by the said Steven Hickman the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, hat given bargained and Sold and Do by these presents give grant bargain Sell and Confirm unto Steven and Robt Hickman their Heirs and assigns forever Twenty Acres of land more or less which lands were late the Property of Edwd Hickman decd and are Situate Lying and being in the Parish of Accomack and county aforesd near Gargatha Church and bounded as follows (to wit) One the S. W. by the land of Richd Hickman on the N, West by the lands of George Hickman on the N. E. by the lands of Solomon Baker and on the S. E. by the lands of Jno Burton and William Wise. To have and to hold the said Twenty Acres of land, together with the improvements and all Priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto them the said Steven Hickman and Robert Hickman their heirs and assigns forever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatever and the said George Hickman Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Richard Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife doth hereby for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators Covenent and agree to and with the said Steven and Robert Hickman their heirs and assigns forever, Shall and may peacibly and quietly Occupy, possess and enjoy the said Twenty Acres of land free from all incumbrances and from all claims and demands of all persons Claiming from by or under them the sd George Hickman Thomas Hickman and Lucretia his wife, Henry Hickman and Scissey his wife Richd Hickman and Nancy his wife Dennis Hickman and Bridget his wife all warrent and forever Defend In testimony whereof the parties to these Presents have st their hand and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first mentioned

This Deed from George Hickman Thomas Hickman & Lucretia his wife Henry Hickman & Scissey his wife Richard Hickman & Nancy his wife & Dennis Hickman to Steven & Robert Hickman was proved by the oaths of Parker Barnes Wm Wise and Arthur White Witnesses thereto and was Acknowledged by the said Lucretia, Scissey and Nancy as their act and Deed they being first privily examined as the Law Directs and Voluntarily consent thereto and ordered to be recorded
