1. Elizabeth Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1744.  Her maiden name is unknown.

She married John Killmon circa 1769.  John was born in Dorchester Co., MD, circa 1745.  John died before 26 December 1795 (Processioners 22)

On 25 August 1775 John bought fifty acres of land on Guiford Creek from Southey Taylor and his wife Livena (Deeds 1770-1777:447:448). See the deed here.

On 5 March 1779 John was named Executor in the will of Charles Taylor (Nottingham 316).

On 13 June 1790 he bought 50 acres on Jobs Island from Thomas Custis and Elizabeth his wife (Deeds 1788-1793:361). This land bounded on land already owned by John.  See the deed here.

 John made a will on 18 May 1795 in Accomack Co., VA.  It was probated 28 August 1797 (Nottingham 448).  An abstract of his will reads:

KILMAN, JOHN - 18 May 1795 - 28 Aug. 1797 - To wife Elizabeth whole estate during her life.  To eldest son William Kilman all my lands, & for want of heirs to my son Samuel.  Children William, Samuel, Sarah, Betsey, Abba & Mary Kilman residual legatees - Witt: Ephrim Vessels, James Vessels - p. 242  In order of probate: Elizabeth Kilman qualified.  

On 18 May 1795 Elizabeth was named as an heir and Extr. in her husband's will.

On 36 December 1795 the boundaries of the land of Elizabeth Killman were processioned (Processioners 22).

Elizabeth was called "Betty".  On 4 March 1799 Elizabeth  was paid 5.19.00 for keeping William Taylor (Overseers of the Poor 103).  The text reads: "To Eliza Kilman for Will: Taylor, 05.19.00".

On 3 March 1800 Elizabeth again was paid 03.09.00 for keeping William Taylor (Overseers of the Poor 115).  The text reads: "To Betty Kilman for William Taylor, 03.09.00."

Elizabeth was listed as the head of a family on the 1800 Census in Accomack Co., VA (Accomac Censuses 25).  The text reads: "Elizabeth Killman (Jobs Island) 1 male 0-10, 1 male 10-16, 1 male 16-26, 1 male 45+, 2 females 16-26, 1 female 45+."

Elizabeth was listed as the head of a family in the 1810 Census in Accomack Co., VA (Accomac Censuses 76).  The census reads: "Betty Killman, 1 male to 16, 2 males to 26, 1 male to 45, 1 female to 16, 1 female to 45, 1 female 45+."

Elizabeth registered to pay taxes in 1815 in Accomack Co., VA.  She was living on on Jobs Island, Back Creek (Ward 11).  The text reads: "Kelman, Elizabeth; Island, Muddy Creek; 10 miles N. [of Court House.]"

Elizabeth and John Killmon had the following children:

1 i. Mary Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1771.  She married Absolom Lewis on 28 January 1789 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman  164).  The record reads: "Absolom Lewis to Molly Killmon on 1 January 1789".  Absolom was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1764.  On 18 May 1795 Mary was named as heir in her father's will (Nottingham 448).  Mary Killmon was called "Molly".

2ii. William Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1775.  On 18 May 1795 William was named as heir in his father's will (Nottingham 448).

3 iii. Samuel Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1777.  Samuel registered to pay taxes in 1815 in Accomack Co., VA (Ward 11).  The text reads: "Kelman, Samuel, 10 N. [Court House]."

4 iv. Elizabeth Killmon was born circa 1779.  On 18 May 1795 Mary Elizabeth was named as heir in her father's will (Nottingham 448).  She married John Moore on 20 December 1797 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman 206).  The marriage record reads: "John Moore to Elizabeth Killman 20 December 1797."

5 v. Abbe Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1788.  On 18 May 1795 Abbe was named as heir in her father's will (Nottingham 448).  She married Charles E. Killmon on 29 October 1806 in Accomack Co., VA.  Charles was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1779.  Charles was the son of Mathew "Marthey" Killmon and Comfort Ewell.  Charles was listed as the head of a family in the 1810 Census in Accomack Co., VA (Accomac Censuses 76).  The census reads: "Charles Killman 1 male to 26, 2 females 0-10, 1 female to 26.  Accomack Parish".  See Mathew Killman, household 71.

Abbe Killmon was called "Abby" or "Tabby".

8 vii. Sarah Killmon was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1791.  On 18 May 1795 Sarah was named as heir in her father's will (Nottingham 448).  She married James Trehearn on 20 Jul 1809 in Accomack Co., VA. James was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1784.  

9 viii. John Henry Killmon was born after his father John wrote his will.  On 10 October John Henry married Nancy Parks (Turman 159). Nancy Parks was the daughter of John Parks and Nancy Ann Ewell. She was born circa 1798. On 15 March 1854 Nancy, as the widow of John Parks, sold 25 acres of land that her husband John had purchased in 1770, to her son Samuel. See the deed here.
