Levin Smith was born circa 1758. He was the son of Henry Smith and the first cousin of Solomon Smith. Circa 1783 he married Comfort Boggs (Boggs 4). She was the daughter of Francis Boggs and Ruth Parker.
Levin was listed on the personal property Tax List for 1787 (Yantis-Schreiner 98). The record reads: Smith, Levin 1 horse, 4 cattle.
The Procession of 1795, as it originally reads: "Eleventh District
Decr 29th 1795 - Lines between John Parsons & Levin
Smith ... Lines between Levin Smith & Anne Holden’s heirs ... (Walczyk
10). He was one of the witnesses of this procession.
Levin Smith and Comfort Boggs had the following child:
1 i. Levin Smith was born circa 1791. On 15 August 1817 he married Margaret
Savage (Turman). The record reads: "Levin Smith to Marry Margaret Savage of John dec'd on 15 August 1817.
