NATHAN WHITE'S HEIRS

HOUSEHOLD 21

Nathan White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1733.  He was the son of Henry White and Frances Parker.  He married Frances circa 1758.   The maiden name of his wife is unknown.  Nathan was named as heir in his father’s will written on 11 March 1768. I t was proved on 29 October 1771 (Nottingham).  An abstract of his will reads: "WHITE, HENRY, SR. - 11 Mar. 1768 - 29 Oct. 1771 - Son Nathan White.  Daughter Salomy White.  Grandson Southey White.  Grandson Levin White.  To my daughter Comfort Raifield's children.  To my daughter Sarah's children.   Daughter Salomy White & Grandson Southey White residual legatees.  Grandson Southey White & John Riley Parker Exrs.  Witt: Nehemiah White, John Riley Parker, Elizabeth Turlington."

Nathan was listed on the personal property Tax List for 1787 (Yantis-Schreiner 98).  The record reads: "White, Nathan, 1 cow 9 cattle." 

Letters of administration on the estate of Nathan White were granted Elizabeth Badger on 29 December 1794.  WHITE, NATHAN - "Adm. his estate to Elizabeth Badger - William Gibb & Thomas Badger sec. - 29 Dec. 1794" (Nottingham).  He died intestate in 1794.  Two years after his death the land was surveyed for a division and found to contain 136 acres [A59] (Whitelaw 824) .

The Prosession of 1795, as it originally reads: "Eleventh District Decr 29th 1795 - Lines between William Finney & Nathan White's heirs.  Lines between Holden's heirs & Nathan White's heirs" (Processioners Returns).

Nathan White had the following children:

1 i. Sarah White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1758. S he married William Boggs circa 1776 in Accomack Co., VA.  William was born in Accomack Co.,VA, circa 1752. W illiam was the son of Francis and Ann Boggs.

2 ii. Robert White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1760.  On 25 June letters of administration were granted to Elizabeth Badger (Nottingham).   WHITE, ROBERT - "Adm. his estate to Elizabeth Badger - Robert Boggs sec. - 25 June 1782."

3 iii. Elizabeth White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1762.  Elizabeth married a Thomas Badger.

4 iv. Parker White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1765.  Parker married Spencer Kellam.

5 v. Henry White was born in Accomack Co., VA, circa 1770.
