Samuel Parker

Samuel Parker son of Robert Parker and Margaret Luker, was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1765. Samuel died before 30 September 1805. He married Ann Kelley of Isaiah circa 1787 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman, Marriage, p. 219). The record reads: Samuel Parker to marry Ann Celly [Kelly]. Jacob Savage security. There is a note in
Turman's book "circa 1787 (not dated)".
Ann was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1769. Ann was the daughter of Isaiah Kelly and Hannah Elliott. She married Joseph Turlington on 24 February 1806 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman, p. 296).
In Robert Parker will on 5 August 1774 in Accomack Co., VA, Samuel was named as an heir. It was probated 29 November 1774 (Nottingham, Wills, p. 280). An abstract of his will reads:
PARKER, ROBERT, Sr. - 5 Aug. 1774 - 29 Nov. 1774 - To wife Peggy negroes & personalty during her widow To son Samuel Parker. To son John Parker plantation where I live, & for want of heirs to my son Anderson Parker. To son John 2 pewter dishes marked "J.P." To son Robert Parker. To son Anderson Parker 2 pewter dishes marked "A.P." Daughter Scarbrough Parker, 2 pewter dishes marked "S.P." & one pine chest called her mother's. To daughter Catherine Parker 2 pewter dishes marked "C.P." &c. Daughter Molly Parker. Daughter Peggy Parker. Daughter Esther Parker. Wife, John Parker, Anderson Parker, Scarbrough Parker, Catherine Parker, Charles Parker, Molly Parker, Peggy Parker, Samuel & Esther Parker residual legatees. Wife to be guardian to my son Samuel & daughter Esther. William Crowson guardian to daughters Molly & Peggy Parker. Son Anderson Parker & John Riley Parker Exrs. Witt: Abel Savage, Sheabe Savage. In order of probate: John Parker heir at law to the testator.
Samuel registered to pay taxes in 1787 in Accomack Co., VA (Yantis & Love, 1787 Tax List, p. 100). The record reads: Samuel was charged with the tax for himself 2 horses, mares, colts & mules.
On in 1791 in Accomack Co., VA, the boundaries of the lands of Samuel Parker and were processioned. (Walczyk, 1723-1792, p. 162). The 1791 procession reads in part:

On in 1796 in Accomack Co., VA, the boundaries of the lands of Samuel Parker were processioned. (Walczyk, 1796-1816, p. 47). The 1785/96 procession reads in part:
Lines between William Vannelson & Samuel Parker. Lines between Edwd Hickman & Samuel Parker. Lines between John Rodgers & Molly Carlile. Lines between Edwd Revell's heirs & Molly Carlile. Lines between Edwd Revell's heirs & Edwd Hickman.
On 1803/4 in Accomack Co., VA, District 4 the boundaries of the lands of Samuel Parker were processioned. (64). The procession reads in part:
Feby 16th - Lines between John Rodgers & Molly Carlile. Lines between John Revell & Molly Carlile. Lines between John Revell & Edward Hickman. Lines between William Vannelson & Edward Hickman. Lines between Samuel Parker & Edward Hickman. Lines between Samuel Parker & William Vannelson.
Samuel made a will on 30 December 1804 in Accomack Co., VA. It was probated on 30 September 1804 (Miles Wills, p. 413). An abstract of his will reads:
PARKER, SAMUEL - 30 December 1804 / 30 September 1805 - To wife Anna Parker the whole of my estate during her life or widowhood for the use of her & my children & after her death or marriage to my children George Parker, Samuel Parker & Susanna Parker. Witt: Custis Willis, Charles Elliott & Thomas Collins.
On 25 September 1810 the Orphans Accounts for George, Susanna and Samuel Parker, children of Samuel Parker were recorded for the year 1809. Oprhans' Accounts.
Samuel Parker and Ann Kelley had the following children:
i. Susanna Parker was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1789. Susanna died before 1833.
ii. George S. Parker was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1793. He married Margaret (Peggy) Jones Fosque on 3 June 1816 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman, p. 217). The text reads: Parker, George of Samuel to Peggy Jones Fosque of John - 3 June 1816. Joseph Turlington security. Margaret was born circa 1795. Margaret was the daughter of John Fosque.
On 12 January 1818 in Accomack Co., VA George and his brother Samuel bought 24 acres from Samuel Warrington (Deeds, p. 239). The deed reads:
This Deed made this 12th day of January one Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen, between Samuel Warrington of the County of Accomack and Parish of St. George of the one part and Geo. S. Parker and Samuel Parker of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Samuel Warrington for and in the consideration of the sum of Forty Nine Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the ensealing of of these presents by the said Geo. S. Parker and Samuel Parker the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained & sold & by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said George S. Parker and Samuel Parker or to their heirs and assigns all his interest in twenty four acres of land be the same more or less and adjoining the following persons, to wit: On the East by the lands of Jno. Rogers; on the South by the land of Jacob Savage of Litt.; on the South and West by the land of William Virnelson, dec'd. & and on the North and West by the land belonging to the heirs of Peggy Hickman, dec'd. with its appertenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto them the said Geo. S. Parker and Samuel Parker their heirs & asssigns forever to have and to hold the aforesaid twenty four acres of land to the only proper use benefit & behoof of them the said Geo. S. Parker & Samuel Parker that he will hereby warrant his undivided interest in the sd land hereby sold free and clear from all lawful claims and demands of all and every person or persons claiming or laying claim to the same or of any part thereof he will by these presents forever defend unto them the said Geo. S. Parker and Samuel Parker, their heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof the said Samuel Warrington has hereto set his hand and seal the day and year within written.
Samuel Warrington
He was executor and witnessed the will of Jacob Savage on 7 December 1825 in Accomack Co., VA. It was probated 27 November 1826 (Miles, Wills p. 466). An abstract of his will reads:
SAVAGE, JACOB - 7 December 1825 / 27 November 1826 - To son Jesse Savage $5. To son George the whole of my land containing 100 acres, but he to pay my estate $300 & if not, then to sell the land. To daughter Custis Savage ... To daughter Leah Parker ..., it being th same as I purchased of the estate of John Parker. To daughter Barbary Savage ... To granddaughter Mary Kellam $5. Remainder after debts paid to Lovey Savage, Son George Savage Extr. Witt: John B. Walker, George S. Parker, & Jeremiah Stockley, George S. Parker & Joseph Turnlington security.
+iii. Samuel Parker was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1795. He married twice. He married Margaret Watson of John on 11 January 1819 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman, Marriages., p. 219). The record reads:
Samuel Parker to marry Margaret Watson of John decd on 11 January 1819. George S. Fisher security. Margaret was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1800. Margaret was the daughter of John Watson He married Sally Phillips on 29 December 1828 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman, Marriages, p. 219). The text reads: Parker, Samuel, of Samuel to Sally Phillips of Thomas 29 December 1828. John G. Joynes security. Sally was born circa 1808. Sally was the daughter of Thomas Phillips.
On in 1816 in Accomack Co., VA, District 4 the boundaries of the lands of Samuel Parker. (Walczyk, Processioners, 1797-1816, p. 193). The procession for that year reads in part:
Lines between Smith Martin & Jno Kelley. Lines between Jno Kelley & Abel Savage's heirs. Lines between sd heirs & Jacob Savage. Lines between Jno Kellam & Jacob Savage. Lines between Jacob Savage & Saml Parker's heirs. Lines between sd heirs & Wm Virnelson's heirs. Lines between Jno Fosque & Wm Virnelson's heirs. Lines between Jno Fosque & Peggy Hickman. Lines between sd Hickman & Saml Parker's heirs. Lines between Wm Lewis & Jno Rodgers.
On 12 January 1818 in Accomack Co., VA Samuel and his brother George bought 24 four acres of land from Samuel Warrington (Deeds, p. 239).
