Thomas Robins son of Arthur Robins and his wife, was born on 7 July 1759 (Nottingham Soldiers & Sailors, pp. 37, 38). Thomas died before 28 November 1836 (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 450). He married Leticia Dunton circa 1784 in Northampton Co., VA. Leticia was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1763. Leticia was the daughter of Isaac Dunton and Alice Dunton HH1. NOTE: Alice's first husband was William Scarburgh. She was Alice Meredith. (Walczyk Chancery 1773-1793, p. 5-24).

In Alice MeredithDunton's will on 10 June 1802 in Accomack Co., VA, Leticia was named as an heir. It was probated 31 January 1803 (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 180). An abstract of her will reads:
DUNTON, ALICE - 10 June 1802 /31 January 1803 - Casey [Carvey] Dunton Extr. To Nancy Coleburn £10. To daughter Letty Robins £10. To granddaughter Letty Robins £5. Remainder to my son Casey [Carvey] Witt: Americus Scarburgh, Mary M. Scarburgh and Sarah Scarburgh. Probate: Samuel Coleburn, and John S Ker securities.

On 4 June 1790 Thomas Robins was named in a Survey requested by his father Arthur (Survey, p. 139). The survey reads:
4th June 1790
Surveyed at the request of Mr Arthur Robbins Four hundred Acres of Land Situate, lying and being in the Parish of St George & County of Accomack and bounded as follows, towit, On the N.E by a line of marked trees dividing the premisses from the lands of Peter Savage On the S.W by the lands of the aforsd Arthur Robbins and on the N.W by a line of marked trees dividing from the lands of Arthur Adkins & Richd Sturgis the aforsd Four hundred Acres of Land given by Mr Arthur Robbins to his his Son Thos Robbins

Thomas was named as heir in the will of his father Arthur (Marshall Wills, p. 513). An abstract reads:
ROBINS, ARTHUR Sr. 25 November 1790 / 11 April 1792 - To my daughter Lotice Robins the loan of 400 acres on the north side of my land lately surveyed by Parker Barnes as long as she remains my son's widow and then to be divided by his children. and then to be divided by his children. To my son Thomas Negro fellow Abraham, 6 silver table spoons and 6 silver teaspoons To my grandson John Robins £300 and Negro girl Rachel when he is of lawful age. To my daughter Mary Bonnywell during her life the loan of £200 Negro girl Adah and boy Littleton, 6 silver table spoons and 6 silver teaspoons. And at her death to be equally divided by her children. To my daughter Peggy Robins £75, Negro wench Beck, boys Isaac, Will Jr., and Jim, and girl Reller, 6 silver tablespoons, 6 silver teaspoons, and a mare "Polly". To my daughter Bridget £75, Negro wench Candis, boys Alinor, Frank and Peter, and girl Patience, 6 silver tablespoons, 6 silver teaspoons, and horse "Partner." To my poor afflicted daughter Martha Robins, Negro fellows Jim Sr., Solomon, and Abraham. and wench Grace during her life and then Jim Sr., to be sold, with Solomon, Abraham, and Grace to go to my son Arthur. To son Arthur the remaining part of my land and silver plate, my wane and wheels, my schooner boat, safe, and Negro slaves Will, Sr., Mason, Jacob, and Will minor. And after Arthur's paying his sisters Peggy, Bridget, and Mary, and my grandson John Robins out of the bonds due me, then Arthur to have the remaining money. To my wife Zillor horse "Stirling". Whitelaw states (Whitelaw, p. 565):

1792 He [Arthur Robins] left the undisposed part to his son Arthur [VI] after providing for his last wife Zillor. 1802 - Arthur [VI] either remained a batchelor, or survived his wife and died without issue, as per bequeathed the land to the sons of his deceased brother Thomas. Wills, p. 450).

Thomas Robins was mentioned in court December Court 1808 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Land Causes, p. 106). The text reads:
Wyatt vs - Petition for recovery of land Robins' Exr's.

Came Isma Wyatt by Thomas Evans, his attorney, and filed his bill in Chancery against Thomas Robins & Carvey Dunton, executors of Arthur Robins, Jr., dec., who was executor of Arthur Robins, Sr., dec., & Arthur Robins (of Thomas), Isaac Robins, John Robins & Bowdoin Robins, devisees of Arthur Robins, Jr., & Richard Cutler. That your orator had heretofore, to-wit: on the 10 Apr. 1790, contracted with Arthur Robins, Sr., of the County of Northampton, now dec., for the purchase of 200 acres of land situate near Bell Haven in the Parish of St. George, County of Accomack, and for the due conveyance of the same the said Arthur Robins, Sr., on his part bound himself, his heirs, Ex'rs &c. by his bond dated 10 Apr. 1790; that he afterwards duly paid the sum agreed upon for the said land and the said Arthur Robins, Sr., on the 2 Aug. 1790, executed a deed to your orator for the said land & that your orator entered into the said lands; that on the 28 Sept. 1790, the said Arthur Robins, Sr., conveyed a further portion of his said land next adjoining to the said lands of your orator on the Southwest, to Mr. Richard Cutler, of the County of Accomack; that the said Arthur Robins, Sr., afterwards, to-wit: on the 25 Nov. 1790, made his last will & testament and devised the use of 400 acres of land on the North side of his tract, contiguous to the said land of your orator on the Southeast, to his son Thomas Robins during his life, with a right of dower therein to Lettice Robins, the wife of the said Thomas in case she should survive him, and provided she remain his widow, with remainder in fee to all the children of the said Thomas Robins, and further gave to his son Arthur all the remaining part of his land not before given and appointed his said son Arthur his executor. That upon a survey of the said land there was excluded a considerable quantity of land which by the form of the plat was represented to have been included; that a considerable error has crept into the survey, and that the said Arthur Robins promised to adjust the matter in an equitable manner, but before this was done fell into a pulmonary consumption and died, having first made his will dated 13 Nov. 1802, and devised the lands which he had derived from his father to be rented until the end of the year 1809, and after that period devised the same in several parts by certain metes and bounds to his four nephews, Arthur, Isaac, John & Bowdoin Robins, infant sons of his brother Thomas Robins, in fee, and appointed the said Thomas & Carvey Dunton executors of his said will, who also decline to enter into any arrangement whatsoever relative to the said premises &c.
Thomas Robins was mentioned in court on 28 August 1832 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Soldiers, p. 37, 38). An abstract of the court proceedings reads:
Thomas Robins, age 73, states he served in the militia of Virginia from about the age of 16 until he was released from service by reason of age. He musters in a company commanded by Capt. Shadrack Ames. He states he was engaged principally in guarding the coast on the Chesapeake Bay between Occahannock and Nasswadix in Northampton Co,; but rendered service at other places. He served at least 3 years. He was born in Northampton Co., Virginia 7 July 1759; lived in Northampton Co., has resided in this county for the last 47 years, moved here from Northampton. Thomas Parker, Nath'l, Levin Joynes and John Cropper were in the regular Army in Northampton at the time he rendered service as a member of Capt. Ames' company of militia. On one occasion he was under command of the said Thomas Parker who was in the 9th Regt. Regular Army for the purpose of retaking some American property that had been taken by the enemy, and after the object was achieved he was again under the command of Capt. Ames.
On 28 November 1836 administration on the estate of Thomas Robins was granted to John Simpkins with Thomas R. Joynes and William Savage securities (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 450). Thomas Robins and Leticia Dunton had the following children:
1. Mary Robins was born on 8 October 1784 (Badger Bible 1777-1886). Mary died on 11 May 1831 (Badger Bible 1777-1886). She married Nathaniel Badger on 18 December 1806 in Accomack Co., VA (Badger Bible1777-1886). Nathaniel was born in Accomack Co., VA on 21 October 1777 (Badger Bible1777-1886). Nathaniel Badger and Joyce Wyatt. Nathaniel died on 19 January 1846 (Badger Bible 1777-1886).

Nathaniel made a will on 25 October 1845 in Accomack Co., VA. It was probated 27 April 1746 (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 19). An abstract of his will reads:
BADGER, NATHANIEL, Sr. 25 October 1845 / 27 April 1846 - After paying a few debts I owe to John Finney & a few debts to others, my whole estate to all my children Letitia, Nathaniel, Eldred, Burwell & my son James (who is dead) 2 children Mary and Amelia Badger, their father's share & so that Burwell B. Badger does not stand to this will a suit will be instituted against him for his part & if recovered he forfeits his right to his share which is to go to the rest of my children. Friend Louis C. H. Finney Extr. Witt: William J. Bradford, James Russell, James Parker, & James Smith. Probate: John Finney security.
Mary Robins and Nathaniel Badger had the following children: i. Letitia R. Badger born on 14 September 1807; ii. Nathaniel Badger born on 23 October 1809; iii. Thomas R. Badger was on 4 October 1811; Thomas died on 11 October 1811; iv. James E. Badger born on 28 April 1813; v. Eldred B. Badger born on 1 December 1816; vi. Mary Ann Badger born on 14 May 1819; vii. Burwell B. Badger born on 15 June 1822; viii. William L. Badger born on 28 January 1825, William died on 19 August 1841 (Badger Bible 1777-1886).

2. Arthur Robins was born in Accomack Co., VA on 1 April 1786 (Robins Bible 1786-1938 [Arthur Robins]). Arthur died before 20 October 1843 (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 449). He married twice. He married Susanna Smith on 2 February 1807 in Accomack Co., VA (Turman Marriages, p. 238). Robins, Arthur / Susanna Smith 22 Sept 1808. Arthur Robins security. Susanna was born circa 1789. Susanna was the daughter of John Smith (Matchapungo) and Mary Fosque. She was the sister of Susanna Smith. Susanna was named as heir in the will of her father John on 9 March 1804 (Miles & Miles Wills, p. 493).

To son George Smith the plantation whereon I now live containing 200 acres, also 33 3/4 acres purchased from Archibald Garrison, also 50 acres on Sprouts Island, also Negro girl Ritta & $200 & a horse & a pitcher that Mr. Colonna bought for me & at my wife's death or marriage Negro man Ben & ... To son William Smith all land & plantation on the northeast side of Mears Branch that I purchased of Ruben Taylor & Robinson Lingo, being 215 1/2 acres & ... & Negro boy Jacob, girl Rachel, & $100 man Peter & ... To daughter Susanna Smith Negro boy Toney, girl Adah & 200 & ... At wifes death or marriage to Susanna Smith Negro woman Kessy, but not the increase. To daughter Betsy Fosque Smith Negro man Ruben, boy Tom & $200 & ... At wifes death or marriage to Betsy Smith girl Leah, but not the increase. The brandy house I agreed to build with Benjamin Harrison .... Remainder to my wife Mary Smith, son George Smith, daughter Peggy Ashby, daughter Sally Mapp, daughter Susanna Smith & daughter Betsy Smith. Witt: George Smith Sr. George S. Arthur Robins was mentioned in court December Court 1808 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Land Causes, p. 106).

He married Julia Ashby on 12 June 1820 in Northampton Co., VA (Robins Bible 1786-1938 [Arthur Robins]). Julia was born circa 1802. Julia was the daughter of John Ashby HH42 and Ann his wife. On 29 November 1844 Julia Ashby was mentioned in court (Nottingham Soldiers and Sailors, pp. 65, 66). The text reads:
John Ashby who was reputed to be an officer in the Revolutionary War, died intestate; his only heirs at law are Margaret Ashby and Sally Ashby (heirs of Smith Ashby) Sally Floyd's (heirs), Juliet Robbins, Elizabeth Savage, Lovey Ashby, Rachel Norworthy, Mary Fox, Ezekiel Ashby, Washbourn Ashby Margaret Rayfield, David Ashby's heirs, Elizabeth Ashby, Norvilla Ames, Edward Ames, Georgianna Ames, John E. Ames, Benjamin T. Ames, Sally E. Mears, and Elizabeth Mears. Mary Ames, 26 November 1844.

1828 Arthur Robins and his wife Juliet sold his 407 acres to George Smith, and in 1856 John B. Smith and Sarah Ann Smith exchanged it and another parcel elsewhere with Henry E. Dennis.

Arthur Robins and Susanna Smith had the following children: i. Mary Robins was born on 16 December 1807; ii. Edwin Robins was born on 19 May 1810; iii. Arthur Robins was born 10 April 1812; iv. William S. Robins was born on 7 March 1814; v. Isaac D. Robins was born on 24 February 1816; vi. Sarah E. Robins was born 11 February 1818; vii. Lewis Robins was born 14 November 1819 (Robins Bible 1786-1938 [Arthur Robins]).

Arthur Robins and Julia Ashby had the following children: viii. James A. Robins was born 26 March 1822; ix. Jerome W. Robins was born 30 August 1823; x. Sarah E. A. Robins was born 31 January 1825; xi. Julia A. S. Robins was born 13 January 1827; xii. Lafayette Robins was born 13 September 1830; xiii. Amanda J. Robins was born 19 March 1833; xiv. Catharine J. Robins was born 28 January 1836; xv. Benjamin F. Robins was born 26 January 1837; Thomas B. xvi. Robins was born 3 April 1839 (Robins Bible 1786-1938 [Arthur Robins]).

3.Isaac Dunton Robins was born on 21 April 1788 (Robins Bible 1788-1897[Isaac Robins]). He married Elizabeth Fosque Smith on 29 September 1808. Elizabeth was born on 22 January 1793. (Robins Bible 1788-1897[Isaac Robins]). Elizabeth was the daughter of John Smith (Matchapungo) and Mary Fosque. Elizabeth died on 9 May 1855. She was the sister of Susanna Smith.

Isaac Robins was mentioned in court December Court 1808 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Land Causes, p. 106).Isaac was listed on the Payroll List of Captain William Henderson in 1813-1814 in Accomack Co., VA (War of 1812, p. 313). The text reads: - Isaac D. Robins, Corporal, 1 month 4 days. Whitelaw states (Whitelaw, p. 566)

4. John Robins was born circa 1791. He married Jane Core on 10 December 1810 in Northampton Co., VA (MihalykaMarriages , p. 92). The text reads: Robins, John to Jane Core 10 December 1810; son of Thomas Robins consent for underage John; John Core security; married 20 December 1810 by Thomas by Thomas A. Elliott. Jane was born circa 1792. Jane was the daughter of John Core and Susanna Baker. John was named heir in the will of his cousin John Robins on 13 February 1800 (Scott Wills, p. 13). John Robins was mentioned in court December Court 1808 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Land Causes, p. 106).Whitelaw states (Whitelaw, 566).

5. Bowdoin Robins was born circa 1794. Bowdoin Robins was mentioned in court December Court 1808 in Accomack Co., VA (Nottingham Land Causes, p. 106). Whitelaw states (Whitelaw, p. 565).

6. Leticia Robins was born in Accomack Co., VA circa 1797. In her grandmother Alice Meredith Dunton's will on 10 June 1802 in Accomack Co., VA, Leticia was named as an heir. It was probated 31 January 1803 (Miles & Miles Wills p 180).

7. Malinda Robins was born circa 1802.

8. Elizabeth Robins was born circa 1805.

5. Julia Robins was born circa 1809. She married Walter W. Darby on 2 August 1837 in Northampton Co., VA (Mihalyka Marriages, p. 25). The text reads: Darby, Walter W. to Juliet Robins 2 August 1837; daughter of Thomas Robins decd; George Gray security & as to ages; married 4 August 1837 by G. Wescoat.

9. Nancy Robins was born circa 1807.

10. George W. Robins was born circa 1812. He married Mary Susan Bell on 1 August 1838 Mihalyka Marriages, p. 91). The text reads: Robins, George W. to Miss Mary Susan Bell 1 August 1838; daughter of Tabitha Bell consent; Samuel Carpenter security; William H. Bell wit; married 4 August 1838 by G. C.Wescoat. She was the daughter of Anthony Bell and Tabitha Harmon.
