pp. 551, 552)1781 - Zilla [Comfort] left to her daughters Zilla and
Tabitha (husband
Joshua Turner). 1821 - The will of Joshua Turner (second wife Bridget)
directed that
two tracts owned by him be sold and five years later James Ward bought
96 acres and
the next year 18 acres more.
(569).1766 - [Solomon Bunting] He
and his wife
Jean Bunting sold to Thomas Abdill and four years later he and his wife
Peggy Adbell
resold to Joshua Turner, beyond which it was not traced, but it remained
Turner land
for some time.
NOTES: Joshua Turner's lands in both
Northampton Precinct 3 and Accomack District 7 bordered on
each other. The
name of Zilla and Tabitha's mother was Comfort Jackson not Zilla.
Joshua
Turner son of George Nicholas Turner and Sarah, his wife (Marshall Wills,
p. 310), was born circa 1731. He married twice. He first married Tabitha
Brasure
circa 1753. Tabitha was born circa 1735. Tabitha was the daughter of
Richard Brasure
and Comfort Jackson (Dorman Vol. 111, p. 636) and the sister of HH11 Zilla Robins and the second wife of HH11 Arthur Robins.
He married Bridget
Turner on 18 April
1815 in Northampton Co., VA (Mihalyka, Jean, Marriages, p. 114).
Bridget,
was born circa 1740. She was the widow of HH48 John Furbush Turner.
On 16 October
1795 in Accomack
Co., VA, the boundaries of the lands of HH5 Joshua Turner in the Seventh District in
Accomack County
(Walczyk Processions, p. 7). The text in part reads:

In 1796 the lands of Joshua Turner
in Northampton county were processioned (Belote Processions p.
8). The text
reads in part: Part of a line between Joshua Turner & the heirs of Arthur
Downing decd: as far on the line of the County . . .
He died before 8
October 1821 (Scott Wills, p. 122).
