John Sturgis [A1]

1663 Patent issued to John Sturgis for 200 acres. He and his wife Elizabeth assigned the patent to Henry Forsse, who reassigned it to William Sterling the next year.  Although this end ended up in the possession of Arthur Robins, the chain of assignments is not clear.

NOTE: By 1678 the lands listed in the above patents totally 1450 acres were owned by Arthur Robins, the grandfather of HH 11 Arthur Robins <Link> and the greatgrandfather of HH 12 Thomas Robins. <Link>
