In the name of God, amen I Margaret T. Joynes of the County of Accomack, State of Virginia do make this my last will and testament revoking all others.

Item 1st I give to my nephew Thomas J. Custis that part of my farm on the Sea Side. Seperated from the other part by a ditch running across said farm, from branch to swamp dividing the farm nearly in the center - thence through Swamp to the hiers of Levin W. Nock - to him forever. I also give and bequeath to him my Bible, my large bureau my gold specks, my silver forks, my rocking chair, my gold watch, and the sum of Two hundred dollars. $200.

Item 2nd I give to my neice Maggie T. D. Boggs the new house and that part of the farm on which it stands divided by the aforesaid mentione dich running across the farm from branch to Swamp thence to the heirs of Levin W. Nock to her forever. I also gine and beuqeath to her my Table spoons, and part of my books, and my marble slab bureau and the Sum of Two hundred dollars $200.

Item 3rd I give to my nephew Thomas S. Joynes the sum of Two hundred dollars. $200.

Item 4th I give to my neice Emma V. Drummond the sum of fifty dollars $50.

Item 5th I give to Samuel D. Drummond Son of Henry C. Drummond the Sum of One hundred dollars $100.

Item 6th I give to Milton N. Custis Son of Thomas J. Custis my bedstead and bed.

Item 7th I give to Manie L. Custis my Teaspoons

Item 8th I give to my Nephew Thomas J. Custis the residue of my personal and real estate of whatever discription And I do hereby nominate and appoint my nephew Thomas J. Custis executor of this my last will and testament And upon his qualification as said executor I request that no security be required of him

At a Court held for the County of Accomack, on the 29th day of August 1898. This Last Will and Testament of Margaret T. Joynes, deceased, was proved by the oaths of G. W. Addison and Tully W. Scott, witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Thomas J. Custis, the Executor in the said Will named, taking oath and giving bond according to law in the penalty of Fifteen hundreed Dollars ($1500.00), he not being required to give security in accordance with a provision of the said Will - Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat of the said Will in due form. And the siad bond having been acknowledged by the oblogor therein it is ordered that the same be recorded.
