In the name of God amen, I Sophier Arlington of the parish of Saint George and County of Accomack Virginia do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz.
Item I give to Sally Finney the wife of Walter Finney a morning suit to cost twelve dollars also one Coffee Pot & one set casters & six Coffee cups and sausers.
Item I lend to Sally Finney the wife of Walter Finney one bed bolster two pillows bedstead Mat & Cord Tow Sheets four pillow cases one twilled yarn Blanket, one Twilled Cotton Counterpin one bed quilt made of curtain Callico and one suit of curtains that belongs to the bed, all of the first choice, the above articles lent. I lend to Sally Finney during her natural life and at her death then I give the above articles to her children that she has or may have hereafter, but for want of such Children, I give the above articles to my son John Arlington
Item I give to Nancy Arlington one bedquilt made of dark Callico six Tea cups and six sausers on Tea Pot all China & one Glass Sugar dish.
Item I give to my son John Arlington my Clock.
It is my desier that my Executor put five hundred Dollars of estate out at Interest, till my daughter Jane arrives at the age of Twenty one years, or is lawfully married, then I give the said five hundred dollars to her and her heirs forever but if my said daughter Jane should die before she married or arrives to the age of Twenty one years then and in that case my will and desier is that the aforesaid five hundred dollars be divided so, that my son John have one half and the other half to go to my daughter Sally Finney's children, if she has any living if there is no children to her forever;
Item I give all the remainder of my Estate not heretofore given away the same I give to my son John Arlington and my daughter Sally Finney to be equally divided between them.
Lastly I do hereby appoint my son John Arlington Executor to this my last will and Testament - In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the second day of December Eighteen hundred & Twenty two

At a court held for Accomack County on the 24th day of February 1822. This last will and testament of Sophier Arlington decd. was proved by the oath of Isaac Smith a witness thereto and ordered to be Recorded. And on the motion of John Arlington taking oath and giving bond according to Law in the sum of $5000 with William D. chandler and William Finney securities thereto - A Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form
