In the name of God Amen I William Burton of Accomack being Sick & weak of Body but of Sound and Disposing do make & Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following &c & as for my Estate real and personal I dispose thereof as followeth Item I give to my Beloved wife Mary Burton my Sorel Horse & Saddle and my Will is that Jack Thom: Monday and Frank do remain on the Plantation to do any Service Labour my wife Shall Employ them in during her natural Life and my meaning is that they Shall be at her Command during her Natural Life as if I had realy given her and if She Accepts of the Service of these Negroes it Shall barr her of her third in any of the other Negroes I also give her a Feild of Corn Lying on the main road I also give her a heavy Hogshead of Tobacco I also give her what beef is killed in the House I give and bequeath to my two Daughters in Law Anne Snead and Catherine Snead two Shares of my Crop made when Spencer Johnson was overseer her & Like wise tow Shares of the Crop made on my plantation This year I give they my four weeding hoese Item I give & bequeath my Salves Peter with Peg and her two Children Called Argal & Maria to the use of my Daughter Agness during her natural Life & at her death to be Equally divided among her Children Item I give and Bequeath to my Son William And to the heirs of his body Lawfully begotten the Land & Negroes following Vizt. two hundred and fifty Acres of Land & Marsh I bought Wm. Clark Lying upon Pot hook Creek Near Lewis Town Easter Ben Leah Daniel & Comfort I also give to my Said Son my new Saddle new boots & Silver Tankard Like wise my Pistolls holsters & Sword Item I give to my Nephew Thomas Burton a Yearling Mare & to my three Nephews Joshua Saml & Joseph to each [Line folded] Abner Burton my bay Mare Called Rose Item I give to my Grandson John West a yearling Mare that Came of my One Dun Mare Item I give and bequeath at the Death of my wife to my William my Slave Frank and my slave Jack Thom. & Monday to the Children of Daughter Agness all ready born and to be born and as for the Rest of my Estate of what kind so ever after my just Debts are paid I give to be equally divided Between my wife and two Children And I do hereby make and Constitute my wife And two Children Executors and Lastly I do here by revoke all other Wills by & [-----] by me heretofore made In Witness --- wherefor I have here unto Set my & Seal this Eighteenth Day of November 1730
