In the name of God Amen I George Hyslop of Accomack County being very sick and in poor state of health but in sound sense and memory thanks be to God Almighty for the same do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as followeth. Item I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Joice Hyslop all the Estate that my wife received out her Mothers Joice Lewis's Estate also one Chest one Spining wheel and wash Tub that was brought form James Lewis's after we was married also one young Mare called pleasure. Item I give and bequeath unto my Son William Hyslop all my land and plantation that I now live on being fifty acres more or less unto him and his heirs forever in case he the said William pays to my Son George Hyslop the sum of fifteen pounds Specie when the said George comes to age twenty one years old also that the said William to pay unto my Son Smith Hyslop the sum of fifteen pounds Specie when the said Smith Hyslop comes to the age of Twenty one years old. Item I give my hole Estate not before given after paying my just debts to be equally divided between my Daughter Molly Hyslop my Son George Hyslop my Daughter Betsy Hyslop, and my Son Smith Hyslop to be equally divided between the said four. Also I do appoint Francis Savage my hole and Sole Extr. of this my last Will and Testament and dated this Seventh day of April one thousand Seven hundred and ninety Seven

At a district Court held at Accomack Courthouse the 17th day of October 1797.
The said last Will and Testament of George Hyslop decd now offered for proof by the Executor therein named, was proved by the Oaths of James Lewis and John Lurton Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. On the motion of Francis Savage certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate of the said Will, he having taken the oath of an Executor and together with James Ashby Senr. and Nathaniel Fosque his Securities entered into and acknowledged a Bond of one thousand pounds with Condition according to law, which is ordered to be recorded

Know all men by these Presents that we Francis Savage James Ashby Senr. and Nathaniel Fosque are held and firmly bound unto Saint George Tucker Esqr Judge of the District Court holden at Accomack Courthouse mow sitting, in the just and full sum of One thousand pounds to the payment whereof well and truly to be made to the said Judge and his successors, we bind ourselves, and each of us, one and each of our heirs Executors & Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals, and dated this 17th day of October one thousand Seven hundred and ninety Seven and in the 22nd Year of the Commonwealth.
The Condition of the Obligation is, that if the said Francis Savage Executor of the last Will and Testament of George Hyslop decd do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the good, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of hime the said Francis Savage or unto the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit unto the said District Court at such time as he shall be thereto required by the said Court and the same goods, chattels, and credits, do well and truly administer according to law, and make a just & true account of his actings and doings therein, when thereunto required by the said Court, and further do well and truly pay and deliver all the legacies contained and Specified in the said will as far as the said goods, chattels, and credits will extend according to the value thereof and as the law shall charge him, then this obligation to be void, or else to remain in full force
