In the name of God Amen I make my Will I Thomas Jenkinson being in health & sound memory but not knowing how soon the Lord may be pleased to Call me out of this Lower World I am willing to Settle the Small Estate the Lord has bin pleased to bestow upon me in manner & form as followeth ~ First I bequeath my soul unto the Almighty God who gave it me in hopes of Eternal rest & salvation through the merits of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ & my body to the mother Earth from whence it came Secondly it is my will & desire that all my Just debts shall be truely & honestly paid

Thirdly I give & bequeath unto my Son Thomas Jenkinson during his natural life one point of Marsh Commonly called the little Hand that is to say I lend my son Thomas Jenkinson this point or I lend of Marsh & after my Son Thomas Jenkinson decease to fall unto my Son Moses Jenkinson & also I give unto my Son Thomas Jenkinson that point of Land he is now settled upon which is Commonly called plators point beginning at a line of marked trees by the path side as you goo to Howel Bootes so running from the head line that parts the land that my son Thomas bought of Sacker Parker and mine the said point being bounded round by the branch to the head line to him & his heirs for Ever my meaning is I give this said Land unto my Son Thomas upon provise my son Thomas Jenkinson giveth as much of his land that he had of Sacker Parker to Joyn upon the part of my land that I shall give unto my Son Moses Jenkinson the Land that he giveth in Exchange he shall begin at the Eastward corner of my now Corn field & to run Eastwardly towards Howel Boots Length & breadth proportional to the point of Land he hathe out of my tract of Land and if my son Thomas refuseth for to give as much of this Land called plators point unto my Son Moses Jenkinson to make up his full quantity as I shall mention as follows

Fourthly I give & bequeath unto my loving wife my Negroe during her natural life and after her death to fall unto one of my children as I shall mention & also I give unto my loving wife all the rest of my Estate of Land & livings & moveables that is of my proper Estate that is my meaning is I lend my loving wife all my proper Estate during her natural life to be no ways molested by any of my Children but if it pleaseth God that my wife should marry then shall she have no more of my moveable Estate then the Law will give her & my Son John Jenkinson shall take possession of my now dwelling house with one hundred eighty & Seven Acres of Land it being the half part of my three hundred Seventy & four Acres lying & situate in Follys Neck I give unto my son John Jenkinson to him & his lawful Heirs Lawfully begotten of his body for ever And I give unto my Son Moses Jenkinson the remainor part of my tract of Land being one hundred Eighty & seven Acres of Land which Concludes my three hundred seventy & four Acres I give unto my Son Moses Jenkinson to him & his lawful heirs lawfully begotten of his body for ever But if my son John Jenkinson should die without lawful Issue than my Son Moses to have my son Johns part of Land I give my Son Mosess part of my land unto my son Jesse Jenkinson to him & his lawfull heirs lawfully begotten of his body for ever but if either of these my sons that doth inherit my Land as above given hath a mind to sell their part of Land one to the other of their brothers I give them liberty but to no other party whatsoever & if two of these my three Sons should dye without Lawful Issue as above mentioned than my whole three hundred Seventy four Acres of Land to fall to the Survival of the three above mentioned brothers If the three Brothers above named dye without Issue lawfully begotten of their body than I give the whole three hundred seventy & four acres of Land unto my Daughter Frances Jenkinson & her lawful heirs lawfully begotten of her body & if she dys without lawful Issue then my Land to fall to my Daughter Mare Jenkinson in manner & form as above mentioned to my daughter Frances and if Mare dys without lawful Issue of her body than my whole tract of Land to fall unto my daughter Naome Jenkinson in manner & form as before mentioned to my other daughter & if Naome dye without lawful Issue of her body than my Land to fall unto my daughter Catherine Jenkinson in manner & form as afore mentioned to my other daughters and if my daughter Catherine dyes without lawful Issue then my Land to fall unto the next heir in Law & if their can be no right heir in law found then I give my Land unto the Church of this parish for ever but if either of my above named Daughter shall by any lawful means Inherit my above mentioned Land it shall be called Thomas Jenkinson plantation for ever & if they alter the name they shall ever be disinherited & fall to the next heir in Law to bear up the name for ever I give unto my Son Jesse Jenkinson after my wifes decease my Negro Called Mundo & if he dies without lawfull Issue of his I give the negro Called Mundo unto my daughter Frances Jenkinson & her lawful heirs lawfully begotten of her body for ever And also I give all my moveable Estate of household stuff & horses and Mares Cattle Sheep & Hogs to be equally divided after my wifes decease among Eight of Children as followeth John Jenkinson Catherine Jenkinson Naome Jenkinson Frances Jenkinson Mare Jenkinson Moses Jenkinson Jesse Jenkinson Elizabeth Jenkinson three forgetfulness not set in right Cours of age & my wife marrys with another Husband I set my Children free at Eighteen Years of age but she keeps a widdo then my daughters to be at age at Eighteen & my boys at one & twenty years and whereas I know I have made several blotches & some interlines through forgetfulness & mistakes of words I would not have any [-----] Law against my Will Lastly I make my loving friend & brother in Law Ralph Corbin my Executor & my Loving wife my Executrix of this my last will to see it Acted & fulfilled truly & honestly as testimony of aforesaid of this I do Acknowledge as my real Act and Deed and my last will & testament as witness my hand & Seale this 17 day of January 1720/21

The within Last will & Testament of Thomas Jenkinson deceased was proved in open Court of Accomack County by the Oaths of Thomas Towles & Howell Bootin witnesses to the same & also made Oath they see Job Towles deceased. Signe the same June the 2nd 1724 which the Court admitted to Record
