In the name of God Amen I Thomas Riley Senr being
Sick and Weak in body but in perfect mind and memory do bequeath my soul to God who
gave it to me and my body to the dust from Whence it came to be decently buried
Item
I give and bequeath to my son William Riley Two hundred acres of land whereon I now
live beginning at the Creek and going the breath of the said land till it incloses
the said Two hundred acres to him and his heirs forever and my negro fellow Frank
and one Walnut Desk which he calls his desk to my said son William Riley.

I Give and bequeath to my some Thomas Riley on hundred acres of land which I bought
of Jacob Litchfield and Joseph Walker to him and his heirs forever. And also on Desk
which he calls his.
Item I give and bequeath to my son John Riley one hundred
acres of land which bought Thomas Simpson and William Simpson to him and his heirs
forever and also one Desk which he calls his Desk.
Item I give and Bequeath
to my son Raymond Riley all the remainder of the tract of Land where I now live after
my son William Rileys Two hundred acres of land is laid off be the same more or less
in Quantity to him and his heirs forever & my Cedar Desk my Watch pen Knife and Snuff
box to him my son Raymond Riley I also give to my son Raymond Riley all my plantable
land on Shores Island except the water holes which they are all to have equal the
same benefit, And the remainder of the said Island I give Jointly between my sons
William, John & Thomas & Raymond Riley to them and theirs forever.

give to my three Sons Thomas John & Raymond my Land I bought of James Boyl and his
wife and also I give to my three sons Thomas John & Raymond each of them a feather
Bed & furniture Raymond to have his first Choice.

Item I give to my Daughter Sarah Snead one
Chest of Drawers and all the houshold furniture she barried Away with her when she
went to house keeping. I give to my said Daughter Sarah Snead during her life my
Negroe Stepney Hannah and Lilly and after her death the said Negroe and their increase
to be equally Divided Amongst her Children born or to be born except her son Bennet
Riley And I give my said daughter my Gray mare called Pink.
Item I give to
my son Raymond Riley my horse called Jack and my young black horse.
Item
I give to my Grandson Bennet Riley on Negroe girl named Mary and if Case he Should
die before he comes to lawful age then the said Negroe to return to my Estate and
to be sold and the money to equally divided among all my Children and my desire is
that my said Grandson Bennet Riley shall be maintained by my my Executors and the
said Negroe girl at equal expence till he is fourteen years of age and they are to
give him one years Schooling after he is twelve years old.
Item I give and
bequeath to my three sons Thomas John & Raymond Riley all my Negroes not before given
to be equally divided between my three sons above mentioned when my son Raymond comes
to lawful age and not before. And their profits to be equally divided Amongst them
m three sons till A division.
Item I give and bequeath the remainder of my
estate to be equally divided amongst all my Children William, Thomas, John Raymond
and Sarah Snead.
I appoint for my Executors, William Riley Junr. Thomas Riley,
John Riley, Raymond Riley and Sarah Snead to this my last Will and Testament disannullling
all others As Witness my name and Seal this Twelfth day of May Anno Domini 1772

The within Last Will and
Testament of Thomas Riley was presented and proved by the oaths of Thomas Bayly &
Richard Drummond two of the witnesses thereto & addmitted to record William Riley
heir At law being present & having nothing to Object and on the motion of William
Riley, John Riley & Sarah Snead the executors therein named taking the oath and giving
James Arbuckle Sebastian Cropper Charles Snead & Abram Outten for their securitys
who entered into and Acknowledged a bond for that purpose Certificate in Granted
him for obtaining a probate thereof in true form
