IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN December 12th anno domi 1695: I Daniell Selby of Somersett County in the Provence of Maryland Planter being at this prefect mind and weak in body but of perfect thanks be to Almighty God and calling to Rememberance the Uncertain estate of this [-----] life and that all flesh must yeeld unto Death when it shall please God to Call I doe make constitute ordain and declare this m last Will & testamt in manner and form following Revoking and adnulling by these presents all and Every Testamt or Wills by me made or Declared Either Word or Writting and this is to be taken only for my last Will & Testamt

and no other first being penitent & sorry from the bottom of my hart for my sins past Most humbly Desiring Forgiveness for the same I give and Comitt my Soule unto Go that Gave it me Truly believing through the precious merits of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to Recover fully [-----] and remission of all my sins; and that my Soule with my body at the Generall Day Resurrection shall rise againe with Joy and Through the meritts of Christs Death and passion to possess and Inheritt the Kingdom of Heaven prepared for his [-----] and Chosen and my body to the Earth to be burryed wth decent buraill, AND NOW for the settling of my temporall estate of what goods Chattells or Credits it hath pleased God far above my Deserts to beless upon me I Give order and Dispose of the same in manner an form following

That is to say I will yt those Debts wch I owe in Right or [-----] to any manner or form whatsoever Shall be well and Truly paid or ordained to be paid by my Exx hereafter named wth ExErs.

Imprimis I Give and bequeath to Eldest son Parker Selby Twelve hundred Acres of Land out of the Pattent of fourteen hundred Acres of land being the Plantation I now live upon after his mother Decease, and the uper plantation where Peter Lowder formerly lived at my Decease with all the premises and benefitts thereunto belonging I also Bequeath to my Son Parker Selby and his heirs One hundred & Fifty Acres of Land bought of Edward Small Called Brothers Love and also Twenty Acres of Land I bought of Thomas Prunell Senr, and likewise priviledge of Timber upon the heads of the Lands adjacent upon the afore Plantation I also Give and bequeath unto my son Parker Selby and his heirs One hundred and fifty Acres of land being the half of a Tract Carraganessick, Likewise I ordain that my Son Parker Selby shall freely and all togeather quiett his interest of the Plantation in Accomack County which Plantation I had with my wife and if otherwise the said Plantation and land afsd, to be void & fall to my Son William Selby and his heirs. I Also Give and Bequeath unto my Son Parker Selby One Negro Boy called Tobey, Also I Loane my Son Parker after his mothers Decease One Negro Woman Called Phillis, and likewise One feather bedd & furniture

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Daniell Selby and his heirs the Plantation I bought of Robert Cade Containing five hundred Acres Called Yorkshire and sandy Point Yorkshire being Three hundred and Sandy Poynt Two hundred, also I give my Son Daniell Selby and his heirs One hundred & fifty Acres of Land surveyed but not as yett Pattented, Joyning on the afsd Land yt I bought of Robert Cade with all the benefits and priviledges thereunto belonging, I also give mu son daniell Selby and his heirs Two hundred and Eighty Acres of Land Called Kilkeny with all the benefits and Priviledges thereunto belonging Also I Give my son Selby One Negro Boy Called Fisher also I Loane him one Negro Girl Called Bess after his mothers Decease I also Give him a feather bedd & furniture

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Phillip Selby To him and his heirs forever the Plantation I bought of John [-----] Called Cedar grove with all the benefitts thereunto belonging, Also I give my son Phillip and his heirs the Remainder part of bantrys wch is two hundred Acres Joyning on Cedar Grove, also I bequeath unto my son Phillip three hundred Acres of land at the Beaver dam to him and his heirs, Likewise I give & bequeath unto my Son Phillip Two hundred Acres of land being part of a Tract Called Carraganessick to him and his heirs, I also Give my son Phillip Selby halfe of my Island Called Assiekin, Also I Five him a Negro Boy Called Dick, and also after his mothers Decease One Negro Man Called Issac, I also give him a feather bedd and furniture

Item I Give & Bequeath unto my Son William Selby and his heirs Tree hundred thirty odd Acres of Land Lying in Accomack County Called Mattemkin with all the benefits and priviledges thereunto thereunto belonging, Also I give & bequeath unto my Son William Selby and his heirs Three hundred Acres of Land Called Dublin, I Also Give him a Negro Boy Called Jack and one feather bedd & furniture

Item I Give and Bequeath unto my daughter Mary Selby and her heirs Three hundred Acres of Land Called Brick Neck with all the benefits thereunto belonging and Also I leand unto my Daughter Mary One Negro Girl Called Betty and after her mothers Decease One Negro Boy Called James, Also a feather bedd & furniture

Item I give and Bequeath unto my Dear wife Mary Selby the Plantation I now live upon During her Widdowhood, Likewise I Bequeath to my wife four Negroes During her Widdowhood, Also I give my wife all the whole househould Stuffe During her Widdowhood with all my moveable Estate [-----] what is in this my last Will & Testamt [-----]

I Doe also Ordaine that if my wife should marry That then my whole Estate Given her be equally Divided between my wife and Children I doe Also by these presents make my wife Exx with my Sons Parker and Daniell Selby Executors all three Being Jointly [-----] for the Receiving & paying Debts as Witness to the truth hereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the Day and yeare above written
