In the name of God amen This first day of May One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy I John Bloxom of Accomack County being sick and weak of Body but of perfect sence and Memory thanks be to God but [-----] that Mortality of all Flesh I declare and Ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner and form as followeth

First I give my soul to my heavenly father Nothing doubting but that I shall receive the same again at the General Resurrection & my Body to the Earth to be Buried in a Decent manner and as for my Estate which it hath pleased God to Bless me with in this Life I give and Dispose and Devise in manner and form as Followeth

Item I give and Bequeath to my son John Bloxom One Negro boy Called Peter to him and his Heirs

Item Mu Will and Desire is that my Loving wife Tabitha Bloxom Shall have the use of my whole Estate in during her Natural Life or widowhood not to be appraised Nor Inventoried until After her death or marriage.

Item I give and bequeath to my Son Littleton Bloxom Negroes which is to say Judah and George to him & his Heirs.

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Bloxom two Negroes which is to say Margaret and Dinah to her and her Heirs.

Item I give to my Daughter Ann Bloxom two Negroes which is to say Esther and Richard to her and her Heirs.

Iterm My will and Desire is that what is Lent to my son John Bloxom shall not be brought back But shall be his property for ever. My will and Desire is that my son John Bloxom shall have no part of my Estate more than Given to him by Will My Will and Desire is that the Remainder of my Estate shall be equally Divided Between Sarah Bloxom, Littleton Bloxom and Ann Bloxom at their mothers death or Marriage I also appoint my Brother Thomas Bloxom to be my Whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament

At a Court hld for Accomack County September 25th 1770 The within Last Will and Testament of John Bloxom was Proved by the Oathes of Stephen Bloxom and Woodman Bloxom as Witnesses thereto and Admitted to Record. And on the motion of Thos Bloxom the Executor therein named taking oath and giving George Corbin Junr and Woodman Bloxom for his Security who entered into and acknowledged Their Bond for that purpose Certificate is Granted him for obtaining aq probate thereof in due form.
